Examples of use of VOB
1. This unit is the first company in Israel to obtain a VOB – meaning "voice over broadband" – license.
2. Or, VOB is a euphemism for "telephony over Internet." Smile Media has been massively investing in a new 1,000–square meter server ranch, costing it millions of shekels, and in expanding its customer service center in Rishon Letzion, another multi–million shekel investment.
3. Suddenly the cable company will receive substantial regulatory easements: the Communications Ministry extends its "bill and keep" arrangement (a billing arrangement for transfer of calls between Bezeq and the cable companies) worth approximately NIS 40 million for the cable companies, royalties in local news were reduced by NIS 25 million, the ministry waived its requirement that HOT maintain structural distinction between its activities, which translates into millions of shekels, and the regulator refuses to allow Yes any true competition with the cable‘s VOD or its VOB telephony.
